Dogs Eating Cat Feces

WHY DO DOGS EAT CAT POOP, AND WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THEY INGEST CAT FECES AND/OR CAT LITTER? What happens when a dog makes a regular meal out of cat feces? Let’s add to that what happens when litter, especially the clumping kind, gets into a K9′s intestines. OK all you cat poop experts out there! This is your chance to chime in. How Can I Keep My Dog From Eating My Cat’s Poop?

A recent email from a visitor to our site: I’m looking at your site, and I must be missing something. I have a little dog like the one in your video. He’s a long-haired wiener dog, and I can’t keep him out of my cat’s litter box. I can understand how a large dog can be kept out, but my dog would just follow my cat right into the Meowspace. Your endorsements are convincing, but what about small dogs? Thank you for your question. The door of the MeowSpace® is a LOCKING pet door, and it is locked shut, so your dog cannot get inside. Your cat has a collar device (either a magnetic for the Magnetic Locking Door System, or an RFID for the Radio Frequency Identification Device system) that unlocks the door when your cat’s head begins to enter the MeowSpace®. Your dog, not having a device to unlock the door, cannot enter. And our Bully Barriers™ make sure your dog cannot sneak in behind your cat. No more doggie poopie mouth!   Some Topics On This more »

Dog Eats Kitty Roca (Cat Poop, the way it looks in clumping litter)

As you can easily see by the photo, a covered cat litter box is no guarantee against a dog getting into the cat litter. This is where a MeowSpace® comes to the rescue. Simply place a litter box in the MeowSpace®, put the locking pet door access devices on your cats, and relax. Let me digress a bit here. When we invented the MeowSpace®, the only thing we had in mind was keeping our fat cat out of our skinny cat’s food. As more and more of our friends asked us to make one for them, well, they became our beta testers. Some of them asked us for a second MeowSpace®, and told us they had a dog or dogs whom they could not keep out of the cats’ litter. We couldn’t see how it could work, given the fact that cat litter boxes are usually rather large. Then we went to our first cat show, where hundreds of cats were confined to small cubbies, and used litter boxes the size of a small cigar box. I was amazed, more »

MeowSpace® Placement

If you have several pets, chances are good that you have to regulate certain aspects of feeding them each day. A MeowSpace® will do the regulating for you, and give you peace of mind as well as freeing up your time. Each household situation is different, and as such, you must take into consideration your specific circumstances when using a MeowSpace®. One MeowSpace® owner writes: “I have a big dog who tried to pounce on our MeowSpace®. Although it seems to be remarkably strong plastic (it didn’t break at all), we found it necessary to place it under one of our sofa’s end tables. This keeps our active mutt from being able to bother it, and even provides a safer eating environment for our cats. Because of the MeowSpace’s attractiveness, it actually looks just fine, and even provides a great conversation piece when we have guests.” Moral of the story? MeowSpace® is a great solution, so do what you must to make it work for you. It’ll be worth it! several pets | cat steals food | diy pet feeder more »
